Damon and Sabrina Griffith of Flying Wall Studios unite local performers for a puppet demonstration at No Land on Sunday, 6/17, 2-4 pm. The free event is part of their two-artist show The Mechanics of Play, a presentation of elaborate puppets that blurs the line between toy and sculpture.
“For a long time, this wasn’t our art, they were just puppets we made for money,” Damon says. “But as we did more and more, the line got blurrier and blurrier.” Sabrina adds, “The Mechanics of Play is full of extremely ambitious stuff that’s been hiding in our workshop.”
